Selah Moments in the Secret Place

The word Selah can be interpreted in many ways, I know some may interpret its meaning as "pausing and reflecting". In the book of Psalms, David used it as a "break" between each Psalm.

In a way this can applied in our own life and in our own journeys. Sometimes, it just takes those quiet moments, where you pause and reflect upon the season you are in, and listen for his voice. You see, life can feel very fast paced but remember that He is constant through it all. My friend, that is the amazing thing, we don't have to doubt whether He is with us, because He is always with you, and has never left you.

You may wonder, "well what is my secret place?" - your secret place can be anywhere whether its in your car driving to work, your bedroom, or your backyard. The secret place is where you can take a breath and have a "selah moment", where you can pray and seek guidance for whatever season you are in.

In the book of Matthew, Jesus speaks about the secret place. " But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" - Matthew 6:6. Isn't that wonderful! When we become intentional with spending time with the Father, not only do we draw closer to him, but we experience his overflowing love, grace, and mercy in our life.
